Classic Adventures RV Rentals Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2007 and 31-Dec-2010This booking requires a non-refundable deposit as detailed at the time of booking, which will be processed upon confirmation. Your booking is confirmed when you receive your email confirmation (providing there are no problems with your credit card and your vehicle is available). In addition to this, the following terms and conditions apply.Payment/Deposit: Further to the initial booking deposit a second part payment of $250 paid to Classic Adventures is required after booking confirmation. All rental charges are paid in advance or on the day of rental. Classic Adventures accepts Cash, Cashiers Checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The actual credit card in the renters name must be present at departure. Company Checks or Personal Checks are not accepted unless prepaid 15 days in advance. In addition to all rental charges, you will be required to leave a refundable security deposit, usually $500 - This can change at the suppliers discretion during special events e.g. Burning Man Festival. We also will require a credit card signed imprint voucher for ALL rentals. Cancellation: The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply: If the reservation is cancelled 33 days or more before the scheduled departure date, the 2nd part payment of $250 is refunded minus a $50 administrative fee. If the reservation is cancelled within 33 days of departure date then no refund can be granted - you will lose 100% of the total value of your booking. Travel insurance We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking. Other important information: A) The person named on the RESERVATION APPLICATION must be 25 years of age and is the only person authorized to sign our rental agreement and drive the vehicle off our lot; B) Classic Adventures reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or greater value, or refund your $250 down payment due to unavailability of the vehicle; C) NO refund will be issued if you return the motorhome prior to your scheduled return date; D) The rental vehicle is not permitted into Mexico, Alaska, in the Death Valley area in the hot summer months, or in areas where communications by phone or cellular phone is not available. E) Smoking, Pets, or Towing of any type is prohibited unless approved prior to pick up; Smoke or pet residue are considered damage and will result in loss of damage deposit or more. F) Generally, all vehicles will be available for pick up only after 1:00 PM and any departure available by 4:00 PM is considered on time. Early Pick Ups may be available; please call the morning of your departure to check with us.; G) Vehicles must be returned prior to 11:00AM; H) Any additional drivers must have a clean driving record, be at least 25 years old, and be present at the time of departure with their valid driver’s license available. Additional Information – Conditions – Restrictions Renter must be at least 25 years of age, have a clean driving record and good credit. All drivers must be listed on rental contract and be present at pick up with their driver's license. Reservation/Security Deposit: . All rentals require a minimum $500 security/damage deposit (Specialty Diesel 36' is $1500) which is fully refundable after complete check-in. This is in addition to your applicable rental charges. Refunds are returned by mail within 10 working days. All rentals are subject to Nevada sales tax at the rate of 7.375% for Washoe County . Upon return, the following is included in rental fee: Refilling LPG tank. Normal exterior wash. Dumping and sanitizing holding tanks. Motor homes must be returned clean inside (other than bedding and towels which are professionally cleaned after each rental.) Any additional cleaning will be charged at $59 per hour. Motor homes must be returned full of gas or renter will pay $7.50 per gallon to fill. INSURANCE for towing Trailers: Customers must have current liability coverage on your tow vehicle. At departure, a copy of your tow vehicle insurance card will be made. The Renter’s name must match the name on the insurance card. By state law, liability insurance goes with the tow vehicle. Collision and Comprehensive damage coverage is included with the trailer rental but you are responsible for the first $500. Inside damage is NOT covered nor is negligent damage or awning damage. Insurance Classic Adventures RV do not carry their own insurance covers. All renters must provide their own insurance and do so by either: 1. Provide an insurance binder through their personal carrier 2. Purchase RV rental insurance through MBA Choice at www.mbachoice.com If you have elected MBA Choice Insurance, you can access their web site. The instructions below will take you step-by-step thru the process of purchasing RV Rental Insurance. 1. You will first be asked to enter your RV Rental dealer's policy number: 8572 2. Next you will be asked to select a Series Number which corresponds to the size RV you are renting: • If you are renting a 24' Class C select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 27' Class C select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 31' Class C select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 30' Class A select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 34' Class A select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 23' Diesel select: SERIES 2 • If you are renting a 36' Diesel select: SERIES 3 3. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier. Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. Booking information To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed. A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date. If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website. Information disclosure In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services. Amendments Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply: Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency): To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00 To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00 Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency): To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00 To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00 The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible. Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements.
